So You Want A Gig At The Masonic Tavern ?

Booking Process:

We prefer bands to approach us with a full line up of 3-4 bands rather than we organize that for you. That way you know the type of bands you're playing with and are your preference.

Once you have organized that drop us an e mail & we will look at a suitable date for the line up of bands. We are usually booked at least 1 mths ahead with the exception of the odd cancellation. Fri/Sat nights are our biggest nights of the week & we tend to book bands on these nights that have a healthy following & will pull 100+ people. If you don't pull a crowd or make an effort with your gig your chances of another gig are slim. We pride ourselves on being an originals music venue supporting Nz bands. Contacting us: The best way to contact us is by email boydt@masonictavern.co.nz In your email please include: some info about your band a line up proposal of at least 2 other bands you can organize a show with (if you are from out of town you will need some local bands on the bill) any relevant info, for example: past shows you have organized/other venues played at/any radio play /previous bands played with/previous bands played in current phone numbers & emails Requirements: Once we confirm a date with you: Pls advise us if you are playing another venue in Auckland within the 2wks of your Masonic date We have our own in-house sound engineers & full PA. PA specs can be provided. The following venue charges apply; Sat nights $150 (this includes use of in-house PA & house technician). The venue fee will be collected on the night no later. As you take the door you will need to provide your own door person, we can provide you with a float.S/checks are generally done a couple of hours prior to the show unless previously arranged. You will be required as a group to take the promotion of the gig seriously and make every effort to get people along, if you don't this will reflect on all the bands on the bill & a follow up gig is unlikely. You need to provide the venue with at least 4 posters at least 2 weeks prior to your gig for in-house promotion. We advise all the local gig guides but anything you can do to promote your own show should be done. If you can e mail us a small press release we will ad that to our mail outs. Cancellations: We accept no less than 1 months cancellation.
